Solid Group, Inc. (SGI), formerly United Paracale Mining Company (UPMC), was incorporated on October 9, 1933 as a mining company. On May 31, 1996, UPMC's new set of stockholders executed deeds of assignment transferring to the Company their investments in shares of stock of certain companies as full payment for their subscription to 1.5 billion shares of the Company's capital stock. On June 18, 1996, the Securities and Exchange Commission approved the assignment of shares, the change in corporate name to the present one, and the change in its primary purpose to that of a holding company.
SGI, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in various businesses. These include, among others, the sale of mobile phones; after-sales services for principally SONY brands of consumer electronic products and MyPhone; warehousing, distribution and product testing of consumer electronic products; and subcontract or toll manufacturing of color TV sets for other brand owners (i.e. TCL, Skyworth).
The Company's other business activities are: the development and sale of industrial estates in joint venture with Samsung Corporation of Korea; the development of residential condominium for sale and the development and lease of other real estate properties and hotel operations; sale of prefabricated modular houses; sale of broadcast/professional equipment and accessories; and services from project integration.
SGI's subsidiaries include Solid Video Corporation; Kita Corporation; Omni Solid Services Inc.; SolidService Electronics Corporation; Solid Manila Corporation; Solid Manila Finance Inc.; Solid Broadband Corporation; Brilliant Reach Limited; Zen Tower Corporation; Precos, Inc.; SolidGroup Technologies Corporation; MySolid Technologies & Devices Corporation; MyApp Corporation; Green Sun Hotel Management Inc.; and Avid Sales Corporation

SGI trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 3.2 and a price-to-book of 0.17, based on basic earnings per share from its latest annual filing (fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2025). Annual figures can be up to a year old, so this is not a trailing-twelve-month multiple.
PSEye doesn't label any stock overvalued or undervalued. SGI currently trades at a P/E of 3.2 and a P/B of 0.17, but whether that's cheap or expensive depends on the sector, growth prospects, and what comparable companies trade at, none of which a ratio alone can tell you. For comparison, Holding Firms peers with a computable ratio trade at a sector median P/E of 4.5 and a sector median P/B of 0.62 (22 peers). The Sector peers panel above lists 10 similarly-sized Holding Firms companies to compare against directly.
Yes. SGI has paid 1 cash dividend in the last twelve months, totalling ₱0.10 per share, a trailing yield of 8.26% at the current price. Cash dividends have a 10% final withholding tax deducted before they reach your account.
In its latest annual filing (fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2025), SGI's revenue grew 9.0% and net income grew 16.9% versus the prior fiscal year. That's one year-over-year comparison, not a multi-year trend, so check the Balance sheet & income statement panel above for the full figures before drawing a conclusion.
PSEye doesn't rate stocks as good or bad buys. What this page can tell you is factual: where SGI ranks by market cap (#175 of 282 on the exchange), its price history, valuation ratios, dividend record and recent company disclosures, all shown above. Whether that adds up to a good stock depends on your own criteria, and is worth researching beyond any single page, including this one.
PSEye is a data tracker, not a financial advisor, so it can't tell you whether to invest in SGI or any other stock. The price, valuation, dividend and disclosure data on this page is meant to help you do your own research. Consider your own goals, risk tolerance and time horizon, and consult a licensed financial advisor before making an investment decision. If you're weighing a fixed, regular investment instead of a single lump sum, PSEye's DCA calculator shows how that strategy would have performed historically.
To buy SGI shares, open an account with a PSE-accredited stockbroker (most Philippine banks and several standalone brokers offer online trading accounts), fund it, and place a buy order using the ticker symbol SGI. A completed trade typically settles two trading days later (T+2). PSEye doesn't process trades or recommend a specific broker.
