Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SCC) was incorporated on February 26, 1980 to explore, develop, and mine the coal resources in Semirara Island, Caluya, Antique through a coal operating contract with the Department of Energy in 1977 (amended 1981). On August 18, 2014, the Securities and Exchange Commission approved the change in SCC's corporate name to include the word 'power' in line with the forward integration of the Company's business as a coal supplier or producer to power generation through its wholly-owned subsidiaries.
The Company generates its revenues through the production and sale of sub-bituminous coal. Currently, SCC has existing coal supply contracts with its own power subsidiaries as well as other power plants, cement manufacturers and other small boiler users.
As of December 31, 2024, SCC's subsidiaries are SEM-Calaca Power Corporation; Sem-Calaca RES Corporation; Southwest Luzon Power Generation Corporation; SEM-Cal Industrial Park Developers, Inc.; Semirara Materials and Resources, Inc.; Semirara Energy Utilities, Inc.; Southeast Luzon Power Generation Corporation; St. Raphael Power Generation Corporation; Sem-Calaca Port Facilities, Inc.
The Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) is a mining company based in the Philippines. The company, a subsidiary of DMCI Holdings, operates its main coal mine in Semirara Island and is the biggest coal producer in the Philippines accounting for 92 percent of the total national production as of 2015.

SCC trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 5.8 and a price-to-book of 1.36, based on basic earnings per share from its latest annual filing (fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2025). Annual figures can be up to a year old, so this is not a trailing-twelve-month multiple.
PSEye doesn't label any stock overvalued or undervalued. SCC currently trades at a P/E of 5.8 and a P/B of 1.36, but whether that's cheap or expensive depends on the sector, growth prospects, and what comparable companies trade at, none of which a ratio alone can tell you. For comparison, Industrial peers with a computable ratio trade at a sector median P/E of 9.2 and a sector median P/B of 1.02 (45 peers). The Sector peers panel above lists 10 similarly-sized Industrial companies to compare against directly.
Yes. SCC has paid 1 cash dividend in the last twelve months, totalling ₱1.25 per share, a trailing yield of 6.99% at the current price. Cash dividends have a 10% final withholding tax deducted before they reach your account.
In its latest annual filing (fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2025), SCC's revenue fell 19.9% and net income fell 33.4% versus the prior fiscal year. That's one year-over-year comparison, not a multi-year trend, so check the Balance sheet & income statement panel above for the full figures before drawing a conclusion.
PSEye doesn't rate stocks as good or bad buys. What this page can tell you is factual: where SCC ranks by market cap (#45 of 282 on the exchange), its price history, valuation ratios, dividend record and recent company disclosures, all shown above. Whether that adds up to a good stock depends on your own criteria, and is worth researching beyond any single page, including this one.
PSEye is a data tracker, not a financial advisor, so it can't tell you whether to invest in SCC or any other stock. The price, valuation, dividend and disclosure data on this page is meant to help you do your own research. Consider your own goals, risk tolerance and time horizon, and consult a licensed financial advisor before making an investment decision. If you're weighing a fixed, regular investment instead of a single lump sum, PSEye's DCA calculator shows how that strategy would have performed historically.
To buy SCC shares, open an account with a PSE-accredited stockbroker (most Philippine banks and several standalone brokers offer online trading accounts), fund it, and place a buy order using the ticker symbol SCC. A completed trade typically settles two trading days later (T+2). PSEye doesn't process trades or recommend a specific broker.
