A live answer for the Philippine Stock Exchange, plus the trading session’s hours and every non-trading holiday on the 2026 calendar.
No, the PSE is closed
The exchange trades Monday to Friday only.
All times are Manila time (PHT, UTC+8). The Philippines does not observe daylight saving, so these do not shift during the year.
| Time | Phase | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 9:00 to 9:30am | Pre-open | Orders are entered and matched into an opening price. No continuous trading yet. |
| 9:30am to 12:00nn | Morning session | Continuous trading. |
| 12:00nn to 1:00pm | Market recess | Trading halts for lunch. |
| 1:00 to 2:45pm | Afternoon session | Continuous trading resumes. |
| 2:45 to 3:00pm | Pre-close and run-off | Closing auction, then trading at the last price only. |
| 3:00 to 3:15pm | Market close | Closing prices and VWAP are finalised. |
PSEye’s open/closed badge treats the whole session as one 9:30am to 3:30pm window rather than tracking each phase. It is a “is it worth checking back now” signal, not an exchange status feed.
The exchange is closed all day on each of these, on top of every Saturday and Sunday. Regular holidays and special non-working days are both full closures; the label is the one the proclamation uses.
Dates are transcribed from the Philippine holiday proclamation and the exchange’s own trading calendar through Thu, Dec 31, 2026. After that they are computed from the rules and labelled “computed”, which covers the holidays fixed by law plus Holy Week and National Heroes Day, but not the ones that depend on a lunar calendar or a moon sighting. Eid’l Fitr and Eid’l Adha are confirmed by proclamation only weeks ahead, so they are marked as such above. Always check pse.com.ph before relying on a date for a trade.
