SP New Energy Corporation (SPNEC), formerly Solar Philippines Nueva Ecija Corporation, was incorporated and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 23, 2016 as a renewable energy power generation company. The primary purpose of SPNEC is to construct, erect, assemble, commission, operate, and maintain power-generating plants, warehouses, terminals, and related facilities for the conversion of renewable energy into usable form fit for electricity generation and distribution. On October 24, 2022, the SEC approved the change of its corporate name to its present one.
The Company's product is electricity generated from its solar plant and sold through bilateral contracts with its customers or directly to the spot market.
On August 22, 2017, the Department of Energy (DOE) awarded SPNEC's affiliate, Solar Philippines Commercial Rooftop Projects, Inc. (SPCRPI), a solar energy service contract for the exclusive right to explore and develop the Sta. Rosa Nueva Ecija 2 Solar Power Project located in Santa Rosa, Penaranda and San Lorenzo, Nueva Ecija. On December 29, 2017, SPCRPI executed a deed of assignment transferring all its rights and obligations under the service contract to SPNEC, which DOE acknowledged and approved in February the following year.
As of January 14, 2026, SPNEC is 57.33% owned by MGEN Renewable Energy, Inc., 16.30% owned by Solar Philippines Power Project Holdings, Inc., and 3.20% owned by Metro Pacific Investments Corporation.

SPNEC has traded between ₱1.11 and ₱1.72 over the past 52 weeks. It is currently 31.4% below that high.
SPNEC's annualized volatility over the past year is 35.8%, which PSEye classifies as moderate against other PSE-listed stocks. Higher volatility means bigger day-to-day price swings in either direction, not necessarily a worse outcome. See the Analytics panel above for the full risk profile.
PSEye doesn't label any stock overvalued or undervalued. SPNEC currently trades at a P/B of 0.61, but whether that's cheap or expensive depends on the sector, growth prospects, and what comparable companies trade at, none of which a ratio alone can tell you. For comparison, Industrial peers with a computable ratio trade at a sector median P/B of 1.03 (45 peers). The Sector peers panel above lists 10 similarly-sized Industrial companies to compare against directly.
PSEye has no cash dividend on record for SPNEC in roughly the last two years. That is a statement about the corporate actions published on PSE Edge over that window, not a guarantee the company has never paid or will not pay one.
In its latest annual filing (fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2025), SPNEC's revenue grew 30.2% versus the prior fiscal year. That's one year-over-year comparison, not a multi-year trend, so check the Balance sheet & income statement panel above for the full figures before drawing a conclusion.
PSEye doesn't rate stocks as good or bad buys. What this page can tell you is factual: where SPNEC ranks by market cap (#52 of 282 on the exchange), its price history, valuation ratios, dividend record and recent company disclosures, all shown above. Whether that adds up to a good stock depends on your own criteria, and is worth researching beyond any single page, including this one.
PSEye is a data tracker, not a financial advisor, so it can't tell you whether to invest in SPNEC or any other stock. The price, valuation, dividend and disclosure data on this page is meant to help you do your own research. Consider your own goals, risk tolerance and time horizon, and consult a licensed financial advisor before making an investment decision. If you're weighing a fixed, regular investment instead of a single lump sum, PSEye's DCA calculator shows how that strategy would have performed historically.
To buy SPNEC shares, open an account with a PSE-accredited stockbroker (most Philippine banks and several standalone brokers offer online trading accounts), fund it, and place a buy order using the ticker symbol SPNEC. A completed trade typically settles two trading days later (T+2). PSEye doesn't process trades or recommend a specific broker.
