Mabuhay Vinyl Corporation (MVC) was incorporated as a rubber shoe manufacturer on July 20, 1934 under the name Mabuhay Rubber Corporation, and subsequently reorganized in 1960 to engage in chemical and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) resin manufacturing. On October 10, 1966, the present corporate name was adopted.
MVC underwent major business realignment in 2001 when it decided to exit from the PVC business and focus on the chlor-alkali business. Subsequently, the Company expanded its chlor-alkali capacity and the plant started commercial operations in October 2003. MVC is the only chlor-alkali producer in the Philippines and caters to the industrial and household markets.
The principal products of MVC are caustic soda and chlorine derivatives. The Company also derives income from storage tank rentals as well as the lease of warehouse and depot facilities in major ports of entry. In 2024, MVC completed the expansion and modernization of its Ion Exchange Membrane Phase 2 Project, resulting in a 68% increase in caustic soda and chlorine production capacity at its Iligan Plant.
Average % return by calendar month, up to 5 yearsof history. Only a few years back each month, so this is descriptive color, not a predictable “month effect.”

MVC trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 9.9 and a price-to-book of 0.81, based on basic earnings per share from its latest annual filing (fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2025). Annual figures can be up to a year old, so this is not a trailing-twelve-month multiple.
PSEye doesn't label any stock overvalued or undervalued. MVC currently trades at a P/E of 9.9 and a P/B of 0.81, but whether that's cheap or expensive depends on the sector, growth prospects, and what comparable companies trade at, none of which a ratio alone can tell you. For comparison, Industrial peers with a computable ratio trade at a sector median P/E of 9.1 and a sector median P/B of 1.03 (45 peers). The Sector peers panel above lists 10 similarly-sized Industrial companies to compare against directly.
PSEye has no cash dividend on record for MVC in roughly the last two years. That is a statement about the corporate actions published on PSE Edge over that window, not a guarantee the company has never paid or will not pay one.
In its latest annual filing (fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2025), MVC's revenue grew 8.7% and net income grew 7.2% versus the prior fiscal year. That's one year-over-year comparison, not a multi-year trend, so check the Balance sheet & income statement panel above for the full figures before drawing a conclusion.
PSEye doesn't rate stocks as good or bad buys. What this page can tell you is factual: where MVC ranks by market cap (#147 of 282 on the exchange), its price history, valuation ratios, dividend record and recent company disclosures, all shown above. Whether that adds up to a good stock depends on your own criteria, and is worth researching beyond any single page, including this one.
PSEye is a data tracker, not a financial advisor, so it can't tell you whether to invest in MVC or any other stock. The price, valuation, dividend and disclosure data on this page is meant to help you do your own research. Consider your own goals, risk tolerance and time horizon, and consult a licensed financial advisor before making an investment decision. If you're weighing a fixed, regular investment instead of a single lump sum, PSEye's DCA calculator shows how that strategy would have performed historically.
To buy MVC shares, open an account with a PSE-accredited stockbroker (most Philippine banks and several standalone brokers offer online trading accounts), fund it, and place a buy order using the ticker symbol MVC. A completed trade typically settles two trading days later (T+2). PSEye doesn't process trades or recommend a specific broker.
