San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc. (FB), formerly San Miguel Pure Foods Company, Inc., was incorporated on October 31, 1956 to primarily engage in the business of manufacturing and marketing of processed meat products. FB, through its subsidiaries, later on diversified into poultry and livestock operations, feeds and flour milling, dairy and coffee operations, franchising and young animal ration manufacturing and distribution.
In 2018, FB amended its primary purpose and changed its corporate name to the present one to reflect its expansion into the alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage business. In the same year, the Securities and Exchange Commission approved the increase in authorized capital stock of FB, by virtue of which FB issued new common shares to its intermediate parent San Miguel Corporation (SMC) in exchange for SMC's common shares in San Miguel Brewery Inc. (SMB) and Ginebra San Miguel Inc. (GSMI), completing the consolidation of the food and beverage businesses of SMC under FB.
As a result, FB is now operating in three business segments: beer and non-alcoholic beverages, spirits, and food. Among the brands in its portfolio include "Magnolia" for chicken, ice cream and dairy products; "Monterey" for fresh and marinated meats; "Purefoods" for refrigerated processed meats and canned meats; "Star" and "Dari Creme" for margarine; "San Mig Coffee" for coffee; "B-Meg" for animal feeds; and "San Miguel Pale Pilsen" and "Ginebra San Miguel" for alcoholic beverages.
Aside from SMB and GSMI, FB's subsidiaries include San Miguel Foods, Inc.; San Miguel Mills, Inc.; The Purefoods-Hormel Company, Inc.; Magnolia, Inc.; San Miguel Foods International, Limited; and San Miguel Super Coffeemix Co., Inc.
San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc.,, is a Philippine food and beverage company headquartered in Pasig, Metro Manila. It is the largest food and beverage company in the Philippines, with nearly 3,000 employees deployed in a nationwide network of offices, farms, manufacturing, processing and distribution facilities. FB trades at a price-to-earnings ratio of 9.1 and a price-to-book of 2.14, based on basic earnings per share from its latest annual filing (fiscal year ended Dec 31, 2025). Annual figures can be up to a year old, so this is not a trailing-twelve-month multiple.
PSEye doesn't label any stock overvalued or undervalued. FB currently trades at a P/E of 9.1 and a P/B of 2.14, but whether that's cheap or expensive depends on the sector, growth prospects, and what comparable companies trade at, none of which a ratio alone can tell you. For comparison, Industrial peers with a computable ratio trade at a sector median P/E of 9.2 and a sector median P/B of 1.02 (45 peers). The Sector peers panel above lists 10 similarly-sized Industrial companies to compare against directly.

That's one year-over-year comparison, not a multi-year trend, so check the Balance sheet & income statement panel above for the full figures before drawing a conclusion.
PSEye doesn't rate stocks as good or bad buys. What this page can tell you is factual: where FB ranks by market cap (#11 of 282 on the exchange), its price history, valuation ratios, dividend record and recent company disclosures, all shown above. Whether that adds up to a good stock depends on your own criteria, and is worth researching beyond any single page, including this one.
PSEye is a data tracker, not a financial advisor, so it can't tell you whether to invest in FB or any other stock. The price, valuation, dividend and disclosure data on this page is meant to help you do your own research. Consider your own goals, risk tolerance and time horizon, and consult a licensed financial advisor before making an investment decision. If you're weighing a fixed, regular investment instead of a single lump sum, PSEye's DCA calculator shows how that strategy would have performed historically.
To buy FB shares, open an account with a PSE-accredited stockbroker (most Philippine banks and several standalone brokers offer online trading accounts), fund it, and place a buy order using the ticker symbol FB. A completed trade typically settles two trading days later (T+2). PSEye doesn't process trades or recommend a specific broker.
