Reference
A trend-momentum indicator: the 12-day exponential moving average minus the 26-day EMA, itself smoothed by a 9-day signal line. The histogram (the gap between the two) is the usual way to read it — positive and above zero suggests bullish momentum, negative suggests bearish, and a bar flipping from one side of zero to the other is called a crossover.
