How much foreign money moved in each direction, not just the difference. A quiet week and a heavily traded week can both net out near zero. From PSE's weekly Market Watch report, which is the only source that separates the two sides.

Good to know
What foreign fund flow measures on the Philippine Stock Exchange, and how much weight to put on it.
The Philippine Stock Exchange separates every trade by whether the participant is a foreign or a local investor. Net foreign buying is the peso value foreigners bought minus what they sold on the same day. A positive figure means overseas money moved into Philippine equities that session, a negative one means it moved out.
Foreign institutions trade in size and concentrate in the index heavyweights, so sustained selling by them can push the PSEi down even while local investors are buying. It is followed closely as a read on how global capital sees the Philippines, particularly against the peso, local interest rates, and returns available elsewhere in the region.
Not on its own. Foreign flows often reflect decisions made about an entire emerging market allocation rather than a judgment on any one Philippine company, so a stock can see heavy foreign selling for reasons that have nothing to do with its own results. It is one input, and a lagging one, since these figures describe a session that has already closed.
The exchange publishes per-stock net foreign figures in its Daily Quotation Report each trading afternoon, which is what the daily chart and the two rankings above are built from. A separate weekly Market Watch report is used only as a fallback if the daily figures are unavailable.
The rankings show the ten largest net buys and the ten largest net sells for the session, which is where nearly all the value is concentrated. Individual stock flow is also on each company's own page. Browse companies →
